Rent is loosely based on Puccini’s fantastic opera La Boheme .
RENT is a heartfelt musical about a group of impoverished friends trying to make it in New York in 1991. We follow them over the course of one year through their trials trying to succeed while fighting obstacles like illness, poverty and the AIDS epidemic.
The show is a great musical for all ages but has always been very popular especially with the teenagers.
The music in RENT is a mix of pounding rock numbers and pop-ballads.
